About True Dog Houston (A Texas Catering Company)

True Dog Houston is gourmet hot dogs built to order on a toasted potato bun. The True Dog is our top seller, topped with cream cheese, curry ketchup, caramelized onions, crispy fried onions, sriracha, and honey mayo. The Danny Dog runs a warm cream cheese spread, spicy garlic aioli, honey mayo, and kimchi. The Cheese Head is crushed Cheetos, cheese sauce, honey mayo, and spicy aioli. Our BB Fries are pressure cooked BBQ brisket over seasoned fries with garlic aioli, curry ketchup, honey mayo, and cheese. This was our first truck and it is still the one most people book. Familiar enough that nobody hesitates, different enough that they come back for a second. Vegetarian dog available on any build at no extra charge. We move fast at volume. We served thousands of guests a day at the FIFA World Cup Fan Fest in Houston and we run recurring programs at NRG, Rice University, and Tesla. Corporate lunches, weddings, HOA events, school functions, and community festivals from thirty guests to fifteen hundred.

True Dog Houston, by Texas Catering Co. is owned by Damion Loera and his mother Vanessa. Damion started cooking at sixteen, went from working late nights on Washington Ave as a cashier to buying out the owners of the food truck he was working on, and has opened several trucks over the decade since. True Dog Houston and Kurbside Eatz came first, then Benz Burgers and Rise & Shine Tacos. Vanessa runs our crews and keeps the kitchen honest, which is the part nobody sees and the part that decides whether four hundred people get fed on time. Same team, same kitchen, same standards, whichever truck shows up.
