About Us - La Gran Empanada is a family-owned Latin food truck serving fresh empanadas, tacos, bowls, burgers, sides, and desserts across DFW. Fully licensed, insured, and self-contained with generator power. Trailer remains attached; adequate parking required. Best For - Corporate events • Schools • Apartments/HOAs • Private parties • Festivals Menu & Service - We offer a curated event menu (not full menu) to ensure fast service and consistent quality. Menu offerings are determined at our discretion based on event logistics, projected sales, and operational efficiency. Expanded menus are available for larger or guaranteed events. Minimum / Booking Terms - Standard $500 sales minimum for attendee-pay events. If minimum is not met, the host covers the difference. No-minimum events may be accepted based on turnout, promotion, and event details. Host Responsibilities - Host agrees to help promote the event. Low turnout does not waive the minimum. Weather & Cancellation - Rain or shine unless unsafe conditions. Service may be delayed, adjusted, or canceled at our discretion. Setup - Arrive 45–60 minutes early. Require accessible parking for truck + trailer (~40 ft).

I'm Carlos Zelaya, the owner of La Gran Empanada, a food truck based in Plano, Texas. With over 25 years of culinary experience, I specialize in authentic Latin American flavors, offering a variety of freshly made empanadas and other Latin dishes. Before starting La Gran Empanada, I honed my skills in various kitchens, learning traditional recipes and techniques. This journey led me to establish the food truck, aiming to bring a taste of Latin culture to the DFW area. Our food truck has participated in numerous local events, including Celina's Friday Night Market and Frisco Uncorked, allowing us to share our flavors with the community. At La Gran Empanada, we focus on quality ingredients and authentic recipes, striving to create an unforgettable taste of Latin culture.
