The inspiration for Wokworks began when Brennan studied abroad in Amsterdam, where he fell in love with Southeast Asian street food culture, particularly fast-casual restaurants centered around wok cooking. Motivated by this experience, he returned to the United States, developed a business plan, and opened the first Wokworks location in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse neighborhood in 2013. Since then, Brennan and Samantha have expanded Wokworks to multiple locations, including food trucks, carts, and brick-and-mortar establishments, sharing their passion for fresh, vegetable-forward fast food with the community.

Founded in 2013, Wokworks offers a diverse menu featuring rice, veggie, and noodle bowls, all prepared from scratch and seared over high heat to achieve the distinctive smoky flavor known as "wok hei." With a commitment to quality, they source local ingredients and provide a variety of options, including vegan and gluten-free dishes. Beyond their food trucks, Wokworks has expanded to multiple locations, including ghost kitchens and kiosks throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, ensuring convenient access to their flavorful offerings.
