How Our Catering Estimates Work
Every estimate in this calculator is built from real menu pricing submitted by food trucks on Food Truck Club. When you select a city, we pull the current average price per item for each truck's mains, sides, desserts, and specialty drinks, then multiply by your guest count. If a truck's calculated total falls below its minimum order, we adjust to that minimum so the estimate reflects what you'd actually pay.
Keep in mind that these numbers are averages across each truck's full menu. Your final cost will depend on the specific items you choose, any dietary accommodations, and event logistics like travel distance or extended service hours.
For larger events with 150 or more guests, consider adding a second truck. Splitting guests across two trucks cuts wait times and lets you offer more cuisine variety. The calculator automatically divides your guest count evenly when multiple trucks are selected so you can see the per-truck breakdown side by side.
