Meet The Owner, Joseph Oliver
Bayou del Mesa was founded by Joe Oliver, a Houston native with deep roots in both Texas and Louisiana culture. Growing up in Humble, Texas, Joe spent his summers surrounded by the rich food traditions, music, and hospitality of Louisiana, developing a love for Creole cooking at an early age. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin and building a successful career in corporate leadership, Joe decided to pursue a lifelong dream: creating a food concept that celebrates the flavors that shaped his upbringing. The result is Bayou del Mesa—a unique fusion of bold Creole classics and vibrant Latin influences.
