Welcome to Food Truck Club. Whether you just signed up or you're still deciding, this guide covers who we are, how bookings work, how you get paid, and what to do first. By the end, you'll know exactly how the platform fits into your business — and how to get your truck in front of customers who are ready to book.
What is Food Truck Club?
Food Truck Club is a catering booking platform that connects food truck operators with corporate and private event customers in 50+ cities nationwide. We handle marketing, customer coordination, and payment processing, and deliver pre-paid bookings directly to your truck. Joining is free, and you stay in full control of which jobs you accept.
We built this company to be a champion for food trucks. Running a truck means being the chef, the driver, the marketer, the bookkeeper, and the sales team all at once — and the sales part is usually what falls through the cracks. Our job is to take booking, billing, and customer back-and-forth off your plate so you can spend your time on the food. Companies like Amazon, Target, PepsiCo, and HCA Healthcare book events through our vendors, and our events average a 4.9 rating. For the numbers behind the industry, see our Food Truck Catering Industry Report.
How we're different from other platforms
Most food truck platforms sell leads: a customer fills out a form, the request gets passed around, and someone may or may not follow up. Food Truck Club is a booking platform. Customers browse real trucks with real menus, build their order, and book automatically online — so what lands in your inbox is a paid event, not a lead to chase.
That one difference changes three things for you:
- There's no bidding war. When a customer books you, they've already chosen your truck and your menu at your prices. You're not racing other trucks to reply first or cutting your rates to win the job.
- Payment is collected before you cook. Catering customers pay when they book. You're never invoicing after the fact or chasing a check for an event you already worked.
- We handle the coordination. Location, parking, guest counts, menu changes, day-of updates — our team handles customer communication so you get one clear event brief instead of a phone-tag thread.
And unlike directory sites, there's no membership fee to be listed. It costs nothing to join, and a small platform fee applies only to jobs you actually book — with your exact payout shown before you accept.
How does your truck get booked?
Food Truck Club books trucks through two event types: pre-paid catering, where the host pays up front, and attendee-pay community events, where guests pay at your window. Both start the same way — a request arrives by text and email, you review the details and your payout, and you accept or decline.
Pre-paid catering events

Pre-paid catering is the core of the platform. A host — a company ordering lunch for their team, a family planning a party, an office celebrating a milestone — books your truck and pays up front. Your payment is guaranteed before you arrive, and every guest's meal is already covered.
These events run on your numbers. You set your per-person pricing and your event minimum, and we only send requests that meet them. The request shows you everything: date, time, location, parking details, guest count, the menu the customer selected, and your exact payout. Typical bookings include corporate lunches, employee appreciation events, private parties, and university events.
Attendee-pay events

Attendee-pay events work like a great street spot that's been arranged for you. An organizer — an apartment community, business park, HOA, or school — schedules a food truck visit through Food Truck Club, promotes it to their residents or employees, and guests order and pay at your window. You keep your sales.
Many of these are recurring: a community that hosts trucks weekly or monthly can become a dependable slot on your calendar. Some organizers also attach a minimum guarantee, so you're protected on turnout for a new location. If attendee-pay events aren't a fit for your operation, you can opt out and receive catering requests only.
Auto bookings: customers book you instantly

Auto booking is how customers book on Food Truck Club. They don't submit a form and wait for a callback — they pick a truck, build their menu, and complete the booking online in one sitting, the same way they'd book a hotel or a flight.
For you, that means your profile is your storefront. Your photos, menu, and reviews are doing the selling around the clock, and bookings can arrive at any hour without you touching a phone. It's also why keeping your calendar and menu current matters: an accurate, appealing profile turns people who are browsing into confirmed, paid bookings — automatically.
How do you get paid?
Food Truck Club pays vendors through Stripe, deposited directly to your bank account. For pre-paid catering, the customer pays when they book and you receive payment before the event. Tips go to you. Your dashboard shows every payout with a clear breakdown, so you always know what you earned and why.
There are no membership dues and no charge for receiving requests. A small platform fee is applied to each booked job — it covers payment processing, coordination, and the marketing that brought you the booking — and it's shown up front. The number you see when you tap "accept" is the number that hits your account. For the full breakdown of fees and timing for both event types, see how payments and payouts work.
What you control
Food Truck Club brings you the work, but your business stays yours. You control:
- Your pricing — per-person rates, menu prices, and event minimums are set by you, and we never send a job below them.
- Your service area — set a service radius and only get events you can realistically reach.
- Your calendar — sync Google Calendar or block dates manually; accepted events block your calendar automatically.
- Your event types — choose catering only, attendee-pay only, or both.
- Every booking decision — nothing is confirmed until you accept it.
The flip side of that control is reliability. Customers book through us because confirmed means confirmed — our satisfaction guarantee promises them vetted, on-time trucks. So accept only the events you're sure you can work, and keep your calendar honest — a cancellation should be a rare emergency, not a habit. Trucks that show up on time and serve great food get rebooked, reviewed, and recommended.
Your vendor dashboard

Everything runs from one dashboard built for food truck operators:
- Requests — review incoming bookings with full event details and your payout, then accept or decline in a tap.
- Events — see every upcoming and past event, with location, parking, guest count, and menu in one brief.
- Payouts — track every payment through Stripe with a per-event breakdown.
- Menu tools — upload a photo of your menu and our AI extracts items, prices, and categories in seconds; edit anytime.
- Analytics — revenue trends, booking history, and guests served, so you can see what's working and when your busy seasons hit.
You'll also get automated text and email notifications for new requests, confirmations, and event-day details — so you can run your business from the truck, not from a laptop. Curious what's under the hood? Read about the technology behind Food Truck Club.
Getting set up: from signup to your first event
You can finish setup in one sitting. Here's the path from new account to first booking:
- Sign up and submit your truck.Create a free account and tell us about your truck — cuisine, service area, per-person pricing, and minimums. It takes about 10 minutes.
- Get verified and build your profile. Our team reviews every truck before it goes live. While that happens, round out your profile: photos, description, and menu. Good photos matter more than anything else on your page — if you don't have professional shots, we offer affordable photography services.
- Connect Stripe for payouts. Link your bank account so payments land automatically with clear tracking.
- Set availability and go live. Sync your Google Calendar or block off dates, pick your event types, and you're live. Most vendors receive their first booking requests within two weeks — volume depends on your service area, cuisine, pricing, and availability.
