About Rise and Shine Tacos

Rise & Shine Tacos is breakfast tacos, made to order. Our top seller is the Brisket, Egg & Cheese. We also run Potato Egg & Cheese, Chorizo Egg & Cheese, and the Classic Egg & Cheese, plus breakfast burritos, hash browns, beans, orange juice, and apple juice. Most catering companies cannot cover a morning event. We are built for it. Early call times, 7am construction sites, corporate breakfast meetings, school staff appreciation, and game day tailgates. We move fast at volume. We served thousands of guests a day at the FIFA World Cup Fan Fest in Houston and we run recurring programs at NRG, Rice University, and Tesla. Vegetarian builds available at no extra charge. From thirty guests to fifteen hundred.

Damion Loera, Vanessa Loera

Owner, Rise and Shine Tacos

Rise and Shine, by Texas Catering Co. is owned by Damion Loera and his mother Vanessa. Damion started cooking at sixteen, went from working late nights on Washington Ave as a cashier to buying out the owners of the food truck he was working on, and has opened several trucks over the decade since. True Dog Houston and Kurbside Eatz came first, then Benz Burgers and Rise & Shine Tacos. Vanessa runs our crews and keeps the kitchen honest, which is the part nobody sees and the part that decides whether four hundred people get fed on time. Same team, same kitchen, same standards, whichever truck shows up.

When to Book

Recommended lead time
15–30 days before your event

The further ahead you book, the more trucks you'll have to choose from. Planning ahead is the best way to secure your top pick.

That said, shorter timelines work too—we book events just days out all the time. You'll just have fewer options to choose from.

Busy seasons: Spring and Fall are our most popular times in Houston, so booking early gives you the best selection.

What does Rise and Shine Tacos serve?
Rise and Shine Tacos serves Mexican, Tacos and BBQ.Popular menu items include Brisket, Egg & Cheese, Chorizo, Egg & Cheese and Classic Egg & Cheese. Most servings run about $13 before tax.The full menu is above; per-serving pricing is quoted when you build your order.
Is there a minimum order or guest count?
Yes, Rise and Shine Tacos has a minimum order of $875, which works out to roughly 63 servings at this menu's prices. This minimum covers essential costs including food preparation, staffing and setup time. For smaller gatherings, consider the attendee-pay option where guests purchase their own meals.
What is included in the catering price?
Your quote from Rise and Shine Tacos includes food preparation, serving supplies (plates, utensils, napkins), the truck's staff, and setup and breakdown. Some trucks charge a travel fee depending on how far the venue is; the truck will let you know if one applies. Per-serving pricing includes Food Truck Club's service fee; sales tax is added and the complete total is shown before you confirm.
How far in advance should I book Rise and Shine Tacos?
Fifteen to thirty days gives you the best shot at your first-choice date, and shorter timelines work too. Food trucks in Houston book up fastest in spring and fall, and events with 100+ guests benefit from a little extra notice for menu planning and staffing.
What types of events does Rise and Shine Tacos cater?
Rise and Shine Tacos is new to Food Truck Club, so there are no platform bookings to show yet. Corporate lunches, employee appreciation days, community festivals, school and university events, and private celebrations around Houston are all bookable from this page.
Where does Rise and Shine Tacos serve?
Rise and Shine Tacos is based in Houston, TX and takes bookings across Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Matagorda, Walker, Waller and Wharton Counties. Some trucks charge a travel fee depending on how far the venue is, so include the full event address in your request and the truck will let you know if one applies. For a venue outside this area, the truck will confirm whether it can make the trip.
Do you offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or allergy-conscious options?
Rise and Shine Tacos lists halal options, vegetarian options, gluten-free options and dairy-free options on its profile. Include a count for each in your booking request so the truck preps enough, and flag any allergies at the same time.
Do I need to provide any utilities (power or water)?
Usually not. Most food trucks arrive with their own generator, water tank, and cooking equipment, so a flat, accessible parking spot of roughly 12 by 25 feet is all they need. Some trailers and dessert carts do run on an outlet, so mention what your venue offers and Rise and Shine Tacos will confirm any hookups before the event.
What happens in case of bad weather or cancellation?
Rescheduling is the usual answer when weather turns, and we work with you and the truck to find a date. If the event has to be cancelled, the refund follows the cancellation policy above.
