Dave Castaneda, the owner and chef of Green Chile Love, hails from Colorado, where green chili was a staple in his household. After moving to Arizona in 1989, he found it challenging to locate authentic stewed green chili made with Hatch peppers, prompting him to recreate these cherished family recipes himself. Sharing his homemade dishes with friends and family, and serving them at football tailgates, led to the realization that there was a demand for this unique cuisine in Phoenix. In 2018, Dave launched the Green Chile Love food truck to bring the flavors of his upbringing to the local community. After 22 years in the corporate world, he left his career in 2022 to focus entirely on the food truck, honoring his late father with this decision. Dave's dedication to sourcing authentic ingredients, including making trips to Hatch, New Mexico, for fresh peppers, ensures that every dish reflects the rich culinary traditions of his heritage.

Each dish is crafted from family recipes, blending traditional tastes with a modern twist. Since its debut in 2018, Green Chile Love has been serving the community at local events, corporate gatherings, and private parties.
