Most Popular Cuisines for Los Angeles Events
The city's street food and its international range
Tacos and Mexican
Street tacos, birria, al pastor, Oaxacan mole and quesadillas. The city's signature truck food, the fastest-moving line at any event and the usual first pick for graduation parties and late-night wedding service.
Korean and Asian Fusion
Korean barbecue, kimchi fries, bao and rice bowls. The Korean taco was born on a Los Angeles truck and still draws a line at any party.
Filipino, Thai and Vietnamese
Lumpia and adobo, pad see ew and curries, bánh mì and pho. Favorites from Historic Filipinotown, Thai Town and Koreatown that feed a crowd fast.
Mediterranean, Armenian and Persian
Kebab plates, falafel, shawarma and saffron rice. Glendale and Westwood staples, and the easiest way to cover halal, vegetarian and vegan guests at once.
Pizza, Burgers and Barbecue
Wood-fired pies, smash burgers, tri-tip and hot chicken. The easiest single-truck booking for a crowd of every age, from a Torrance backyard to a Pasadena garden.
Desserts, Shave Ice and Coffee
Shave ice, paletas, churros, ice cream and espresso. A dessert or shave ice truck pairs with a main truck for hot afternoons, weddings and summer outings.

Los Angeles weather is on your side in every month. Summer and early fall events get a shaded service line and an early start, winter rain dates get a covered spot, and the rest of the year takes care of itself.

Greater Los Angeles Event Catering Experts
Los Angeles's event map runs from Beverly Hills estates and Downtown rooftops to Valley backyards, South Bay beaches, San Gabriel Valley gardens and north Orange County backyards, and every jurisdiction treats a truck differently: two county health departments, dozens of cities with their own park and street-closure permits, and venues with their own insurance rules. Our coordinators handle that so you can host. See the Los Angeles food truck catering guide for pricing by event type, then request quotes from the trucks that fit your crowd.

What's Included When You Book
Full-service catering across Greater Los Angeles
Best Times to Book in Greater Los Angeles
Plan around the region's calendar for the best selection
Summer (June-August)
Peak season for backyards, beach-adjacent lots, parks and rooftops. June gloom keeps coastal mornings cool while the Valley and north Orange County run hot, so plan shade and an early service window. Graduation parties run into June and summer Fridays fill with company outings. Book early for a weekend date; a weekday lunch needs far less.
Fall (September-November)
September is often the hottest stretch of the year inland and Santa Ana winds arrive in October, then the best weather of the year settles in for the region's peak wedding season, from Palos Verdes to Pasadena to Long Beach. Halloween parties and the week before Thanksgiving tighten availability.
Winter (December-February)
Holiday parties fill December. January and February have the best availability of the year and most of the region's rain, so keep a covered spot or an awning in mind. Award season keeps production-adjacent hosts busy from January into March, and Super Bowl watch parties book early in February.
Spring (March-May)
The most reliable weather of the year. The LA Marathon in March, Nurses Week in May and commencement season across dozens of campuses, from UCLA and USC to the Cal States, Caltech and LMU, make late May and June the tightest windows of the year.

Los Angeles Event Catering FAQs
Questions Greater Los Angeles hosts ask most often
How much does food truck catering cost for an event in Los Angeles?
Los Angeles is a new market on Food Truck Club, so the figures are platform-wide medians from paid bookings: about $18 per person before tax, with most events between $14 and $24. A party for 100 to 149 guests typically totals about $1,950 including setup, service and cleanup, and one for 200 to 299 guests about $3,165. Each truck shows its own per-serving price and minimum on its profile.
What is the minimum order?
Most trucks set a dollar minimum rather than a guest minimum, and the platform-wide median is around $750. If your per-person total falls under it you pay the minimum instead. Tell us your headcount and quotes will come from trucks that fit.
How far ahead should I book a graduation party or wedding?
Graduation parties cluster on Saturdays from late May through June across the Valley, the South Bay, the San Gabriel Valley and north Orange County, so book early for those dates. Weddings peak from September through November and again in spring, with Palos Verdes, Pasadena and Long Beach waterfront dates going first. Weekday events and winter dates are far more flexible; a couple of weeks of notice covers most events, and week-of works more often than not.
Can a food truck park at my Los Angeles venue?
Almost always, with the right placement. Catered events in Los Angeles happen on private property, a backyard, a driveway, an office lot, a plaza or a venue, where the owner's approval plus the truck's permits and insurance are enough. A park, a beach lot or a closed street goes through the city that owns it. A truck needs a level spot about 25 feet long with 12 feet of clearance, placed so driveways and fire lanes stay open. Tell us the venue and we coordinate access, arrival windows and whatever permit applies.
Do you handle permits in north Orange County and the Valley?
Yes. Los Angeles County Department of Public Health permits and letter-grades mobile food facilities, and a north Orange County event falls under that county's own program, so a truck's health permit follows the county your event is in. On top of that, each of the region's cities licenses vendors and issues its own park and street-closure permits. Trucks in our network carry what your event's county and city require, and on private property the owner's approval is usually all that is needed. Tell us the address and we confirm what applies.
What happens if it is hot or it rains?
Trucks serve in all weather. For late-summer heat, put the line in shade, start service early and add a shave ice or drinks truck; for a January or February rain date, guests order under a tent, an awning or a covered area and eat inside. Your coordinator confirms a contingency with the venue before event day.
How many trucks do I need?
One truck comfortably serves about 100 to 150 guests over two hours. For larger events we recommend two or three trucks with complementary menus so lines stay short and guests have variety. Each truck you add carries its own minimum.
Do trucks serve the Valley, the San Gabriel Valley and north Orange County?
Yes. Coverage runs Los Angeles County from the Westside and Downtown through the San Fernando and San Gabriel valleys, Burbank and Glendale, the South Bay, Long Beach and the Gateway Cities, and north Orange County from Fullerton and Anaheim to Brea, Buena Park, La Habra and Seal Beach. The Inland Empire is served from our Riverside market. Malibu, the Antelope Valley, south Orange County and Ventura County are farther out, and a travel fee may apply; mention the town and quotes will reflect it.
Los Angeles is a new market for Food Truck Club. How are trucks vetted?
Los Angeles is one of our newest markets and the roster is being built truck by truck. Every vendor is vetted before their first booking: county health permits and insurance certificates confirmed, menus and pricing reviewed, and the operator interviewed about capacity and communication. Post-event reviews feed into the same rating system that averages 4.8 stars across 680+ reviews nationwide, and every booking is covered by our Satisfaction Guarantee.
