About Papi's Stuffed Sopapillas

We make our sopapillas from scratch using King Arthur patent flour, a few other secret ingredients and whole lot of heart. Want to see how a sopapilla is made? Come visit the truck! We hand-roll, puff, cut, and stuff each piping hot sopapilla to order. Our hard work earned us Boston's Best Food Truck award by the Improper Bostonian! Most recently we earned Best Food Truck in Massachusetts by the Food Network!

Meet The Owner, Jason Melmed

Hi I’m Jason and I’m the chef and owner of Papi’s Stuffed Sopapillas. I got the truck back in November of 2014. I know sopapillas are not very common in the Northeast and I just so happened to go to Santa Fe for a wedding and I was inspired by the taste of the sopapilla. I wanted to do some sort of calzone, pocket, fusion thing and the sopapilla was the perfect vehicle for me to do all sorts of flavors.
