About Chef Samir Truck

Chef Samir Truck Authentic Moroccan Mediterranean Homestyle Cuisine Chef Samir Truck brings the authentic flavors of Morocco and the Mediterranean to NYC, combining traditional homestyle cooking with the convenience and energy of a modern food truck and catering experience. Born and raised in Casablanca, Morocco, Chef Samir grew up learning the art of Moroccan cooking from his mother, especially the use of fresh herbs, aromatic spices, preserved lemon, and traditional cooking techniques. After moving to the United States in 1999, his passion for food eventually grew from cooking for friends and family into a catering business — and later into Chef Samir Truck. For more than a decade, we have served NYC with flavorful, halal Moroccan Mediterranean dishes made with carefully selected ingredients and recipes inspired by home. Our menu includes favorites such as Moroccan lemon chicken with basmati rice, beef & lamb gyro shawarma, chicken kebabs, falafel, couscous, hummus, fresh Mediterranean salads, homemade sauces, and Moroccan-inspired specialties. Whether you're planning a corporate lunch, private party, wedding, school event, festival, community gathering, or large-scale celebration, Chef Samir Truck brings more than food — we bring the warmth, hospitality, and flavors of Morocco to your event.

When to Book

Recommended lead time
15–30 days before your event

The further ahead you book, the more trucks you'll have to choose from. Planning ahead is the best way to secure your top pick.

That said, shorter timelines work too—we book events just days out all the time. You'll just have fewer options to choose from.

Busy seasons: Spring and Fall are our most popular times in New York, so booking early gives you the best selection.

Chef Samir Truck serves Mediterranean.Popular menu items include Beef And Lamb Gyro Shawarma Burrito, Beef Kebbab Bowl and Chicken Tagine Burrito. Most servings run about $20 before tax.The full menu with current prices is above.
Is there a minimum order or guest count?
Yes, Chef Samir Truck has a minimum order of $625, which works out to roughly 31 servings at this menu's prices. This minimum covers essential costs including food preparation, staffing and setup time. For smaller gatherings, consider the attendee-pay option where guests purchase their own meals.
What is included in the catering price?
Your quote from Chef Samir Truck includes food preparation, serving supplies (plates, utensils, napkins), the truck's staff, and setup and breakdown. Some trucks charge a travel fee depending on how far the venue is; the truck will let you know if one applies. The per-serving prices on this page already include Food Truck Club's service fee; sales tax is added and the complete total is shown before you confirm.
How far in advance should I book Chef Samir Truck?
Fifteen to thirty days gives you the best shot at your first-choice date, and shorter timelines work too. Food trucks in New York book up fastest in spring and fall, and events with 100+ guests benefit from a little extra notice for menu planning and staffing.
What types of events does Chef Samir Truck cater?
Chef Samir Truck is new to Food Truck Club, so there are no platform bookings to show yet. Corporate lunches, employee appreciation days, community festivals, school and university events, and private celebrations around New York are all bookable from this page.
Where does Chef Samir Truck serve?
Chef Samir Truck is based in New York, NY and takes bookings across New York, Kings, Queens, Bronx, Richmond, Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester, Rockland, Orange, Putnam, Dutchess, Ulster, Sullivan, Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Passaic, Union, Morris, Middlesex, Monmouth, Somerset, Sussex, Warren, Fairfield, New Haven, Litchfield, Monroe and Pike Counties. Some trucks charge a travel fee depending on how far the venue is, so include the full event address in your request and the truck will let you know if one applies. For a venue outside this area, the truck will confirm whether it can make the trip.
Do you offer vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or allergy-conscious options?
Chef Samir Truck lists vegetarian options, vegan options, halal options and gluten-free options on its profile. Include a count for each in your booking request so the truck preps enough, and flag any allergies at the same time.
Do I need to provide any utilities (power or water)?
Usually not. Most food trucks arrive with their own generator, water tank, and cooking equipment, so a flat, accessible parking spot of roughly 12 by 25 feet is all they need. Some trailers and dessert carts do run on an outlet, so mention what your venue offers and Chef Samir Truck will confirm any hookups before the event.
What happens in case of bad weather or cancellation?
Rescheduling is the usual answer when weather turns, and we work with you and the truck to find a date. If the event has to be cancelled, the refund follows the cancellation policy above.
